Yin Yoga with Alli Koski

When:  Thursday, March 29th  ~  6-8pm
Investment:  $30

Join Alli for a 2 hour “retreat” from ordinary life diving into deeply restorative shapes healing the body and balancing the nervous system.  With the use of aromatherapy, crystal bowl sound therapy, guided visualizations and deep relaxation techniques you will remove the distractions of the outside world to deepen your connection to the inside world.

What Is Yin Yoga??
Yin yoga is a restorative yoga practice.  Through holding poses, traditionally for 2-10 minutes, and applying gentle pressure to the connective tissues (tendons, fascia, and ligaments) we can begin to release tension and tightens throughout the body and increase circulation to the joints and organs.  Practitioners often experience an overall increase in mobility to some degree after even just one class.  This practice also encourages slowing down, turning the attention within and focusing on the present moment experience

which can result in a decrease in stress and anxiety, with an increase in peace and ease.  Consistent practice can result in increased patience, the ability to observe ones emotions without being overtaken by them, and an overall good mood of the soul.

“My journey with yoga has taught me so much about myself. One of my biggest discoveries was that I was missing out on a lot of my life because I was moving to fast. Yin yoga and meditation have guided me to find stillness, something I never would have imagined myself enjoying. Now I look forward  to resting in the quiet still sanctuary within my soul. I completed my first 200HR teacher training in 2011 and have since studied a variety of yoga and healing modalities. Currently I am completing my 500 HR yoga teacher training with emphasis on Myofascial Anatomy and Yoga Philosophy as well as studying Energy Management & Medicine. I focus mostly on working with clients one-on-one and offer workshops covering a variety of topics related to Yoga, Healing, Self-Awareness, and Energy Management.” ~Alli
